The Department of Defense (DoD) estimates a shocking 26,000 instances of rape, sexual assault and unwanted sexual contact occurred in our military in 2012 alone. That's an average of 71 cases every day.

In a recent Pentagon survey, roughly one in five military women said they were victims of unwanted sexual contact but the vast majority of cases went unreported.

Victims have spoken out time and again for changing the system that wronged them. Congress must act immediately.

The Military Justice Improvement Act which would transfer the decision to prosecute from a chain of command that has failed victims far too often to independent, impartial military prosecutors could receive a vote in the Senate within days.

Help us fight for justice for our military members: they deserve a justice system worthy of their service. With the Senate poised to vote, we need your voice right now.

Add your name in support of the Military Justice Improvement Act. We owe it to the men and women who wear the uniform and bravely serve our great country.
